The Ardnamurchan Lighthouse sits at the most westerly point of the British mainland and ferries run from Kilchoan to Tobermory or Lochaline to Fishnish on the island of Mull. To the West of Salen, 8 miles from Rowanhill, there are boat trips to
Tobermory on Isle of Mull, Whale Watching Trips to Isle of Eigg and
Wildlife Trips around Loch Sunart on the charter boat Laurenca. You can

3 miles to the West of Glenborrodale, there is the Ardnamurchan
Natural History & Visitor Centre. Also a brand new visitor
centre at The
Adelphi Ardnamurchan Distillery is now open
Further West we have the village of Kilchoan where you can catch the ferry to Tobermory. Sanna Bay with its beautiful white sands envokes memories of past crofting townships.
There are many interesting walks in the area and the old lead mining village of Strontian from where the element strontium gets its name is about 20 miles away.
